Unveiling the signs

Wednesday was an eventful day. Dave had to go to the unveiling of his Utah signs and since I could not get a sitter for the ninjas I convinced him to let us all go along. Dave was nervous about taking the ninjas, but it all worked out in the end because everyone there was thrilled they were there. After Governor Huntsman spoke it was time to unveil the signs and the Governor asked Dave, the kids, and I to come up to the front. He picked up Mia and let her do the countdown and being an attention loving true Meikle child she gladly complied. We then saw the gorgeous "Welcome" sign and then we got a few picks of the family with the Governor. After that Dave had to do several interviews and sign some commemorative pennants for the press and Utah state officials that were there. I also met the Lieutenant Governor and was very impressed with his nice and generous demeanor.

On the way home Dave received a call from KSL requesting an interview. He was awesome and the interview ran on the 6pm news that night. It was a fun day for the Meikle family!

I would have totally taken your monkeys! I am glad they were there and it all worked out though. Congratulations! I can't wait to see the pictures and the interview (assuming you recorded it!).

What an awesome family experience! I hope your kids will remember that forever. I can't wait to see the signs in our travels to and from Idaho.
